Comic: Cis folks need to stop masking their transphobia as “preference”
The Trans Trickster is a violent myth.

I noticed this debate rolls around a few times a year and this time I see cis people have the actual “I’m Not Transphobic But” audacity to flare this shit up during Pride month, acting like they are experts on the physiology of every trans person in existence, and insisting that their “preferences” aren’t based on social conditioning or rooted in transphobia.
I also noticed how the word “biological” gets thrown around A LOT.
Both cis heterosexual folks AND cis folks of marginalized sexualities need to get out of their feelings and just listen to trans people.
Nobody is forcing cis people to be with trans people, in any way. Hell, often nobody is even talking to cis people when trans people discuss dating hardships. But cis people insist on diving head-first into these conversations with the wonton butchering of the word “preferences” and the constant detour into the subject of genitals.
There is no real basis for the cis fear of taking someone home only to find surprise dicks or a lack thereof. The Trans Trickster is a violent myth. I guarantee you trans people are more worried about not being physically, verbally, and emotionally savaged, and are not interested in bamboozling us into their boudoirs.
It’s really this simple: Cis folks can keep our genital preferences to ourselves and be quiet. Who even asked? We can keep our convenient and often dubious excuse of “wanting to have biological children” and just move on. Cis folks can stop acting like we know what any and every trans person’s genitals are and how exactly they will be incompatible with our own, and we can also stop pretending that none of this is about transphobia.
